Sunset
Terrace - Located on Long IslandIs situated on Long Island and overlooks Casco Bay and the Portland skyline. This beautiful outdoor venue is close to the ferry and Long Island’s quaint village center. The island offers 3 beautiful sandy beaches and historic army ruins. A bus can be provided for transportation to the beaches and for island tours. Museum Tours area available Sundays from 1:30 – 4:00 or by special request. A small donation is requested. The museum gives local history with a permanent WWII exhibit. This summer there will be a focus on east end families who have summered on the island. Learn how the Government took over property during WWII (1940). Learn about the beaches, fueling depot with underground tanks and island life including the community center/island. Did you know only 270 live people live there in the winter and 1500 in the summer? Beach walks are a nice way to see the coast. Bike rides are an enjoyable option around the well groomed road which is a wonderful way to check out the island. The smell of beach roses combined with the salt air is a great way to energize and refresh yourself from fast paced city life. The rocky coast has many beautiful spots to relax on your journey. There are also many dirt roads through conservation land for the more adventurous bikers.
The Fifth Maine Regiment Memorial Hall
Built 1888, this hall held great importance during Civil War days. Today it sits upon the rocky coast of Peaks overlooking Cushing Island. The gorgeous wrap around porch is a great place to relax with friends and coworkers. A dining room with spectacular views can seat up to 85 people. A quaint garden area is provided to take in the breathtaking views. This building is handicap accessible and has two bathrooms.
Lion’s Club - Located on Peaks
Island
This oceanfront location was the site of 4 famous theaters back in the late
1800’s. Many well-known performers such as Jean Stapleton, and the Barrymoore
family performed here over the years. The Greenwood Garden’s Playhouse
still hosts the local island acts. This spacious building can hold up to 226
people with plenty of room for a band. It is handicap accessible and has toilette
facilities. A large tent outside can provide shade on a hot summer day. Volley
ball horseshoes and other outside games are provided to keep everyone entertained.

Winslow Park - Freeport, Maine
A fun state park with a sandy beach, playground and facilities. The picnic
area is covered and there is plenty of room for outside games. Located on
a peninsula surrounded by the Harraseeket River and Casco Bay, Winslow Memorial
Park &
Campground offers fabulous views, scenic trails, picnicking, 100 campsites
on the coast, beach, playground, tidal boat launching and group areas great
for company picnics or family reunions. A self-guided nature trail borders
the Park adjacent to the Harraseeket River and Casco Bay. Benches along the
trail afford hikers the opportunity of stopping and enjoying the great views
and tranquility of the Park. Be sure to bring your binoculars and camera. This
location offers a tidal boat launch, playground, and volleyball. There is also
a beautiful beach for flying kites, wading in the water or just enjoying the
view. If you want to walk around there are scenic trails for all to enjoy.
During July and August, the Park sponsors a Thursday night concert series featuring

Wolfe’s Neck Farm - Freeport Maine
Enjoy the unspoiled beauty of nature in the friendly relaxed atmosphere on
this 600 acre salt water farm located along the shore of Casco Bay. Enjoy beautiful
walks on or near the shore, tucked in the towering pines. Just a few miles
up you can enjoy Wolfe Neck State Park. Enjoy walking or hiking around the

Fort Williams - Cape Elizabeth
Fort Williams is home to a beautiful oceanfront park and Portland Head Light,
the most photographed lighthouse in the world. The 100 year old fort at Portland
Head, which was Portland Harbor's main defense for many years, was officially
named on April 13, 1899, for Major General Seth Williams, a native of Augusta
who served in the Civil War.
Today, the park offers something for everyone: history enthusiasts can explore
the fort's remains; nature folks can walk along the cliffs that drop to the
sea; families can picnic on grassy hills, play frisbee, or fly kites; those
interested in lighthouses can visit the lighthouse, museum, and gift shop;

South Portland
Located on a beautiful site overlooking Casco Bay the College is one of the
most picturesque points on the Maine coast. The campus is on the site of the
former Fort Preble, which protected Portland Harbor from the time of the Revolutionary
War through World War II. Many of the buildings and surrounding houses are
historic structures that have recently been renovated. This location offers
a beach, a wharf, interesting military fortifications, and a lighthouse. This
location offers something for everyone: history enthusiasts can explore the

Two Lights State Park is a popular point of destination for Maine residents
